Welcome, Adrián Franco Rubio!

02.09.2024

We are very happy that Adrián Franco Rubio has just joined our Quantum Information & Quantum Many-Body Physics group.

Adrián has already gained valuable experience as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Germany during the past 4 years. Prior to this, he had completed his PhD in Physics at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the University of Waterloo in Canada with a dissertation on "Renormalization, Entanglement and Continuous Tensor Networks" under the supervision of Guifré Vidal.

His research interests lie in the area of quantum many-body physics, with a focus on tensor networks and their interplay with quantum field theory and quantum phases of matter. He also has experience working on quantum simulation in noisy environments. With his expertise, Adrián is a much-appreciated addition to our research group and he will contribute to our efforts as a member of the FWF (Austrian Science Fund) SFB BeyondC. We wish him a wonderful time with our team in Vienna!
